Brushes with glory.
Tuesday, August 26th, 2008 | Photoshop, Web Sites | No Comments
We watched almost famous tonight, and Ill start with the side note that that is an amazing movie. It also inspired the title of this post: brushes with glory, which describes the feeling i felt when i discovered the world of photoshop brushes available on the web. It a far cry from the feeling of performing to thousands of people on a moon lit night, but the world of free brushes carries a power in its own right.
The web site, which is one of many found while searching google, is Brusheezy
The site has a world of free photshop brushes rainging from ancient text, to glowing fractal shapes. They are more useful as design elements, then moving brushes, as they define quiet large and vivid images. The use of these images though becomes super playful when done in the brush format.
site redesign up and running

i9design just got a total remodeling, just as my partner and I are about to move into a new house, with our new baby. You would think it was spring.
Alas, the new site takes the old site to a simpler level, with cleaner graphics, and more coherent flow to the navigation and structure.
I came across FlashDen 2 days ago, and have been exploring all the flash image galleries that the site has to offer. I used one in the new i9design web portfolio section. Flash Den offers thousand of site parts from flash galleries, to themes and templates, to entire xml driven sites. The range is massive, but I am so inspired by all the collaboration and brilliant material to be found on the web.
Wordpress Blog Launch
Thursday, August 21st, 2008 | Web Sites | No Comments
After a short customization of the delight theme, the i9design wordpress blog is up and running. Open source has thouroughly revolutionized the world of design, site development, and communication. Sometimes I feel like it is the largest communal creative experience on the planet.
This blog will feature select design inspirations, web sites, & creatively potent findings on the web.
The site antilimit inspires not only by its amaizing content, but by the simple and graceful nature of the site. If there is power in simplicity, then this site is a cyclone.
